What to Expect During Your First Visits
As a care plan practice, we focus on restoring spinal and joint function with the goal of long-term corrective healing. Our office structure and procedures are designed to facilitate the best results by spending adequate time discussing your concerns and goals. The following two-part process ensures we achieve this together.
The First Appointment
Brief Intake
Prior to the first consultation, the patient will be asked to complete forms online that provide background information about their symptoms and conditions.
Chiropractic Exam
Specific chiropractic assessments may also be used to determine:
- Muscle tone and strength
- Range of motion of the affected area
- Neurological response
Diagnostic Studies
A four-view motion study will be done using X-rays to evaluate:
- Past or recent trauma
- Diagnose degenerative disorders such as spondyloarthritis
- Spinal deformity with progressive potential such as scoliosis
The Second Appointment
Dr. Craig will use the findings from the patients history, physical examination, and four-view motion study to establish a specific diagnosis. Based on the diagnosis, he will create a plan of care designed to reach optimum results.
At the patients second visit, Dr. Craig will outline:
- The diagnosed condition(s)
- Individualized chiropractic treatment plan (or other treatments)
- Anticipated length of chiropractic care and the associated cost
At this visit, once you make the commitment to your care, you will receive your first chiropractic adjustment.
